As the conversion of cutting edge industries including IT, NT, and BT has been accelerated, the government is planning to invest one trillion won in the development of IT converged technology with automobile, shipbuilding, national defense, transportation, construction, and medical industry by 2012 to make the IT converged technology as a new driving force that leads the future industry. This strategic investment will continue as advancing into the world market and the demand for labor in the IT converged areas will only increase worldwide.
Founded in 2012, the Department of IT Applied System Engineering was established to actively prepare for the IT converged areas and cultivate students equipped with application techniques. It is also for them to successfully advance into the IT converged technology industries.
